Serving our Veterans
Yesterday, I had the honor of being the photographer for the Heroes for Freedom Golf Tournament in the Woodlands, Texas. This event raises money for Rolling Thunder who are comprised of a group of veterans who continue to serve their Country by helping other veterans.
My friend Tim Stanley helped me as we took photos of the Golf Tournament, Dinner and Awards.
It was a great event and I am looking forward to being a part of this event next year.
North Texas Warrior Golf Association
Veterans Evaluation Services, sponsored a team of veterans from the North Texas Wounded Warrior Golf Association to compete in the tournament. The NTWWGA team placed third in the Veterans division of the competition.
Strike USA sponsored what I thought was the coolest event at the Golf Tournament. They brought out a shoulder fired gas operated golf ball cannon that can launch a golf ball a good 150 yards and set up a “Closest to the Pin” competition for the veterans participating. It was a real blast to watch everyone try to get the perfect trajectory.
Spirit of Texas Bank Lives Up To Their Motto
Spirit of Texas Bank was the title sponsor for the event and the front of their bus says it all:
After a long day of running around to get photos of the tournament, I found the little oasis that Tommy Bahama had set up. They were giving out Pork Sliders that were simply amazing. The Pork Slider had pulled pork, their signature Blackberry Brandy BBQ sauce, Island Slaw and crispy fried onions for that added crunch. I am a guy who knows food and these were the bomb.[tps_footer]
For those that I met at this year’s event, I hope to see you again next year.
